Hopefully this version of PPS, my first, will remain stable. I also do quite a bit of 4k and p video edits on this PC and no issues.
I tried reinstalling v9. So, I am back to v9. I am perhaps missing some of the features in v9. I expect that it will come in the form of PPS Reply was that if I purchased again and had problems they would be happy to refund my purchase price again. They did not address the question, cunningly I expect that you would have the same issues with v9.
This may seem an odd suggestion, but you might ask to be allowed to try v9. It would be a good deal for you, if you really want to use the software, and On1 will have gained a user. I was just about to buy PPS 9. Then I came across this post and now have second thoughts. Does anyone know if the same problem exists in the latest version of Yosemite.
Based on the sale, I imagine that PPS 10 will be arriving in the near future. Bill S. It is my impression that v9. Moreover, I am aware of On1 issuing refunds to at least some users who have had intractable problems.

There are now two options to purchase, but their premium scheme seems complicated the way it works, I have read it several times and I am still confused. Since getting Perfect Photo Suite was part of my plan to eliminate Lightroom and Elements, I actually purchased the Basic Edition which is identical except for the Adobe and Aperture plugins.
I have been watching their training videos and in one you could see the folders for the new version 10 on the presenter's screen. Her only comment was I guess you all knew what's coming down the road. They are announcing that this fall they are releasing a new version of the suite and changing the product name of the suite. I doubt they will release details on the new version until the release of that new version. They may leak some kinds of info, as they have already leaked on their blog.
They will probably continue selling individual components but there has been no announcement as yet. Anyway the components are not that good a deal given the suite pricing. The purchase options are pretty simple for the suite. Basic only runs standalone. Premium runs standalone but also as plug-ins for Lightroom and Photoshop. They both have the same features.
So the real question is, do you need the plug-ins. No more basic or premium. It also seems that several of the modules may now be combined.
